# Standalone Forms API: Sample Flows

This article presents possible use cases and corresponding sample flows that you can support. It provides a useful
starting point as you plan your implementation.

## Host a form at its own public URL

A user wants to collect responses through a form without publishing it on a Wix site. Your app can mark the form as
standalone and share its public URL. The standalone form is owned by the site your request is authorized for, but it
isn't displayed on that site.

To host a form at its own public URL:

1. Call [Create Form](https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/crm/forms/form-schemas/create-form.md) to create the form. Save the returned form ID.
2. Call [Create Standalone Form](https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/crm/forms/standalone-form-v1/create-standalone-form.md) with the form ID in `standaloneForm.formId`. Save the returned `id` and
   `accountSlug`.
3. Build the public URL and share it with responders:
   - `https://{accountSlug}.wixforms.com/f/{id}` when `accountSlug` is set.
   - `https://www.wixforms.com/f/{id}` when `accountSlug` is empty.

## Localize a standalone form when you render it

When you render a standalone form, use the owning site's currency and locale to display prices and labels correctly.

To localize a standalone form when you render it:

1. Call [Get Standalone Form](https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/crm/forms/standalone-form-v1/get-standalone-form.md) with the standalone form's ID. Save the returned `formId`.
2. Call [Get Form](https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/crm/forms/form-schemas/get-form.md) with the `formId` to retrieve the form's fields and settings.
3. Call [Get Site Properties](https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/crm/forms/standalone-form-v1/get-site-properties.md) to retrieve `paymentCurrency`, `localeLanguageCode`, and `localeCountry`.
4. Render the form, formatting prices with `paymentCurrency` and labels with the locale values.

## Stop hosting a form as standalone

A user no longer wants a form to be available at its public URL. Your app can delete the standalone form. The form
itself isn't deleted.

To stop hosting a form as standalone:

1. Call [Query Standalone Forms](https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/crm/forms/standalone-form-v1/query-standalone-forms.md) with a filter on `formId` to find the standalone form. Save its `id`.
2. Call [Delete Standalone Form](https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/crm/forms/standalone-form-v1/delete-standalone-form.md) with the `id`. The standalone form moves to the trash bin.
3. Optional: To make the form available at the same public URL again, call
[Restore Standalone Form From Trash Bin](https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/crm/forms/standalone-form-v1/restore-standalone-form-from-trash-bin.md) with the `id`.
