About the Member Reports API

The Member Reports API allows site members to report other members for inappropriate behavior, such as spam, impersonation, or harassment. When a member is reported, the site's Wix user receives a notification. The Wix user can then decide how to handle the report, for example by dismissing it or blocking the reported member. Reported members are listed in the site's dashboard.

With the Member Reports API, you can:

To retrieve a per-member summary of reports, including how many times each member was reported and when they were last reported, use the Member Report Overviews API.

Before you begin

It's important to note the following points before starting to code:

  • A site must have the Wix Members Area installed from the App Market.
  • Report Member must be called by a site member. The member who creates the report is identified from the call's identity.
  • A member can't report themselves, and blocked or offline members can't be reported. The site owner and site contributors can't report other members or be reported.
  • When a member is deleted from the site, all reports they created and all reports about them are deleted.

Use cases
