# About Dashboard Pages Built by Wix

Dashboard pages built by Wix are the pages that Wix adds to the [site dashboard](https://dev.wix.com/docs/overview/site-features-tools/wix-dashboard.md), such as the dashboard's Home page and the Wix Stores Products page.

These pages are different from the [dashboard pages](https://dev.wix.com/docs/dashboard-extensions/dashboard-pages/about-dashboard-pages.md) that you add as extensions.

A page that belongs to a [Wix business solution](https://dev.wix.com/docs/overview/platform-overview/wix-business-solutions.md) is available only on a site that has that business solution. Some business solutions, such as Wix Stores and Wix Bookings, are installable apps built by Wix. Others, such as Wix CRM, are available by default.

Your [dashboard extensions](https://dev.wix.com/docs/overview/extensions-framework/dashboard-extensions/about-dashboard-extensions.md) can work with dashboard pages built by Wix in the following ways:

- **Add to a page:** Some pages have [slots](https://dev.wix.com/docs/dashboard-extensions/dashboard-pages-built-by-wix/page-slots/about-dashboard-page-slots.md), which are placeholders that a [dashboard plugin](https://dev.wix.com/docs/dashboard-extensions/dashboard-plugins/about-dashboard-plugins.md) or a [dashboard menu plugin](https://dev.wix.com/docs/dashboard-extensions/dashboard-menu-plugins/about-dashboard-menu-plugins.md) fills.
- **Send the Wix user to a page:** An extension identifies the page by its [page ID](#page-ids).

## Page IDs

Every dashboard page has a page ID that identifies it.

The [Page IDs](https://dev.wix.com/docs/sdk/host-modules/dashboard/page-ids.md) list includes the IDs of dashboard pages built by Wix.

Dashboard extensions use page IDs in the following places:

- **Click actions:** The [click action](https://dev.wix.com/docs/dashboard-extensions/dashboard-menu-plugins/dashboard-menu-plugin-extension-files-and-code.md#click-action) of a dashboard menu plugin can open a page by its page ID.
- **Destination objects:** The [`navigate()`](https://dev.wix.com/docs/sdk/host-modules/dashboard/navigate.md) method of the [Dashboard API](https://dev.wix.com/docs/sdk/host-modules/dashboard/introduction.md) opens the page whose ID is in the [destination object](https://dev.wix.com/docs/sdk/host-modules/dashboard/navigate.md#destination-object) passed to it.

Some business solutions provide [page builders](https://dev.wix.com/docs/dashboard-extensions/dashboard-pages-built-by-wix/page-navigation/about-navigating-to-dashboard-pages-built-by-wix.md), which are methods that return the destination object for one of their pages, with the page's ID already in it. A page builder's destination object can also hold details that the page needs, such as the ID of the order to show.

`navigate()` also accepts a destination object that holds only a page ID, so it can open a page that has no page builder.
