# Introduction

The Transactions API allows you to retrieve your app or site's [transactions](portalId::d1972c09-74e2-4d36-a6f2-54e3310d4ad9resourceId::75ece0e5-a73f-4416-ab3c-140aa096631a#transaction*fallback::https://dev.wix.com/docs/rest/business-solutions/benefit-programs/terminology#transaction). Use this API together with other [Wix Benefit Programs APIs](fallback::https://dev.wix.com/docs/rest/business-solutions/benefit-programs/introduction).

A transaction is a record of a change to a pool's associated [balance](portalId::d1972c09-74e2-4d36-a6f2-54e3310d4ad9resourceId::75ece0e5-a73f-4416-ab3c-140aa096631a#balance*fallback::https://dev.wix.com/docs/rest/business-solutions/benefit-programs/terminology#balance)
