The Rendering and Performance APIs tell you how a Wix site's page is rendering, and let you control what loads first. Use them to write components that render correctly on the server and in the browser, and that load what site visitors see first, so the page appears faster.
The Rendering and Performance category includes the following APIs:
- Rendering Context API: Tells you whether your code is running without a browser window, such as while the page renders on the server, and whether the page is rendering for a search engine crawler.
- Above the Fold API: Tells you whether a component is above the fold, meaning the page's layout places it in the part of the page shown before a site visitor scrolls.
- Head Appender API: Adds HTML to the head of the page, such as preload links and styles, so resources start loading early and styles apply from the first paint. Call it while the page renders on the server, which you can check with the Rendering Context API.
