Schema

A structured configuration object, a map of keys to arbitrary values. Use it for freeform configuration that does not fit the other types.

Component

In your component code, import the Schema type from @wix/editor-react-types:

At runtime it's a plain object of string keys to values of any type:

Usage

The Wix user configures a schema in a panel, so your code only consumes it. There is nothing to produce.

Manifest

In your manifest, declare the field with the schema dataType:

The Wix user configures a schema in a panel rather than passing it as a value, so a schema cannot be a context item or a function parameter or return. schema is a specialized data type and does not appear in the general data types list.
