Studio Two supports most Wix platform extensions, from UI components to backend services. What sets Studio Two apart from other Wix editors is how it handles extensions using a formal framework approach.
While other Wix site types typically add custom functionality through site-specific development patterns, Studio Two uses the same formal extension framework as apps and headless projects. This creates consistency across development paths and enables more powerful integrations.
Most extension types work the same way in Studio Two as they do in other development paths, including backend extensions like service plugins and event extensions, dashboard extensions like dashboard pages and dashboard modals.
Studio Two includes a component model with UI and logical components that you build directly in your site project.
This component model includes:
These component extensions are built with React and TypeScript and use a manifest system that integrates directly with the Studio Two editor.
