# Method Description:

Removes the coupon from a specified cart.


The `removeCoupon()` function returns a Promise that resolves to the updated cart when the coupon is removed from the specified cart.

> **Note:** After a cart is updated, call [Refresh Cart](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/apis/wix-ecom-frontend/refresh-cart.md) to update the cart's UI elements and trigger the Cart Updated event.
