Your Wix-managed headless project is live. This article covers what you can do next, whichever way you created it.
Some of it depends on your framework. Where it does, this article says so. For the full picture, see About Supported Frameworks.
Add and update store products, booking services, blog posts, forms, members, and more directly from your project dashboard. No code required.
Changes you make in the dashboard appear on your live site automatically. You don't need to release again.
To open your dashboard, go to your Wix sites list and select your project.
Point your agent at the Wix Headless skill when you want to add Wix features such as a store, bookings, or a blog, or to change how your site works. For more information, see the Headless AI Toolkit.
For ongoing work in your editor, install the Wix plugin. It adds Wix Skills and the Wix MCP, so your AI client has the context it needs.
Connect your frontend to Wix business solutions with the Wix JavaScript SDK.
How you authenticate depends on your framework:
appId from your wix.config.json file as the client ID.Which commands you have depends on your framework:
wix build, wix preview, wix release, and wix env. Wix builds your project for you. See Build and Deploy with the CLI.npx wix preview to test locally and npx wix release to publish, plus global commands like npx wix login. These are the only project commands available. Wix doesn't build these projects, so build locally with your framework's own tooling first, then release. If you work with an AI coding agent, you can ask it to publish for you instead of running the commands yourself. For example: "Publish my site."
See the CLI command reference for every command.
A headless project runs on Wix business solutions. You can add apps to your project at any time, then wire them into your frontend.
These are available only with Wix's Astro integration:
