About the Assistant Widget API

The Assistant Widget API enables you to manage a site's Wix AI Site-Chat. The Wix AI Site-Chat is a site chatbot that site visitors can interact with. With the Wix AI Site-Chat API, you can:

• Manage messages and conversations in a site's Wix AI Site-Chat.
• Configure settings for a site's Wix AI Site-Chat.

Before you begin

It's important to note the following point before starting to code:

• Sites using this API must install the Wix AI Site-Chat app. Learn more about adding and setting up Wix AI Site-Chat.

Terminology

• AI Site-Chat: Chatbot displayed on a Wix site with the Wix AI Site-Chat app downloaded. Wix users can customize the AI Site-Chat.
• AI assistant: Answers messages from site visitors in the AI Site-Chat using the site's public data. Wix users can train the AI assistant to provide more accurate responses or to restrict the AI assistant from providing information on certain topics.
