Display a Custom Element Site Widget in the Add Elements Panel

You can display your site widget in the Add Elements panel of the site editor, allowing users to easily add it to their site.

Note: If you set your widget as essential, it can't be shown in the Add Elements panel. Essential widgets can only be added once per site.

Your widget appears in the panel's App Widgets section. When creating your site widget, configure the following content:

  • A short description of the widget's functionality, which is displayed in an info tooltip
  • A preview image showcasing the widget's appearance

Technical guidelines

  • Use a screenshot of the widget to capture its actual dimensions and original pixel size.
  • Save at the highest quality and avoid compression.
