The [$w Breadcrumbs](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/velo-only-apis/$w/breadcrumbs/introduction) element now supports the `ariaLabel` property in its `accessibility` object. This allows you to specify a custom [ARIA label](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Accessibility/ARIA/Reference/Attributes/aria-label) for Breadcrumbs, improving accessibility for assistive technology users. 

New param: $w Breadcrumbs accessibility ariaLabel property

The `accessibility` object for supported $w elements now includes these additional properties: 
- `ariaAtomic`
- `ariaBusy`
- `ariaControls`
- `ariaErrorMessage`
- `ariaLive`
- `ariaOwns`
- `ariaRelevant`

Note that not all elements support the `accessibility` object, and support for individual accessibility properties varies by element. For example:
- [TextBox](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/velo-only-apis/$w/text-box/accessibility) supports 6 of the 7 new properties. 
- [MultiStateBox](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/velo-only-apis/$w/multi-state-box/accessibility) supports a different set of 6 of the new properties.

The Wix Chat Backend API has been deprecated.

- The `sendMessage()` function has been replaced with the Inbox SDK  [`sendMessage()`](https://dev.wix.com/docs/sdk/backend-modules/inbox/messages/send-message) method.
- Events have been replaced with [Velo Inbox Events](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/events-service-plugins/inbox/events/on-message-sent-to-business).

- [`afterDistinct()`](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/events-service-plugins/data/hooks/wix-data-hooks/after-distinct): Runs after a [distinct query](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/apis/wix-data/wix-data-distinct/introduction) operation.

To refine a distinct query, use [`WixDataDistinct`](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/apis/wix-data/wix-data-distinct/introduction) methods in the [`beforeDistinct()`](https://dev.wix.com/docs/velo/events-service-plugins/data/hooks/wix-data-hooks/before-distinct) hook.

New hooks: Data API

The Window Frontend API has a new registerEventListener() method.

The Text Effects element is a decorative text element with which you can display text with styles, colors, fonts, and graphic effects, such as shadows, outlines, and gradients.

This element is only available in Wix Studio and is not yet available to all users.

# About the Function SPI Configuration API

The Function SPI Configuration API allows you to create, access, and manage service plugin configurations for [functions](fallback::https://support.wix.com/en/article/functions-about-functions). Service plugin configurations define the data that a function sends to a business solution. Use this API together with other [Wix Functions APIs](fallback::https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/business-management/functions/about-wix-functions-apis).

With the Function SPI Configuration API, you can:

- Configure the specific data that functions send to Wix business solutions.
- Ensure configurations match the required schema before deployment to prevent runtime errors.

## Function SPI configurations in the Wix Functions ecosystem

Many function types require a function to have a service plugin configuration. This configuration defines the data format that a function sends to a business solution. A function can't have more than 1 service plugin configuration. When creating a function by calling [Create Function Production](fallback::https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/business-management/functions/function-productions/create-function-production) or [Create Function Builderless Production](fallback::https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/business-management/functions/builderless-productions/create-function-builderless-production), service plugin configurations are created together with the function. Updates to service plugin configurations do not immediately impact active functions. This means that if you update a service plugin configuration after you [activate](fallback::https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/business-management/functions/function-activations/upsert-function-activation) a function that uses it, there will be a difference between the latest version of the service plugin configuration and the one that the function currently uses. To publish the latest service plugin configuration, reactive the function by calling [Upsert Function Activation](fallback::https://dev.wix.com/docs/api-reference/business-management/functions/function-activations/upsert-function-activation).
