When you submit your app and publish it, Wix now runs an automated AI review that checks your app against the App Market requirements. Results are typically available within minutes. SEO metadata is generated automatically from the settings Wix users configure in the Wix dashboard, including page titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, social sharing tags, robots directives, and structured data. Wix also automatically serves robots.txt and sitemap.xml.

The Checkout Sessions API creates a Wix‑hosted checkout session for a specific cart and buyer. Each call generates a fresh, single‑use session tailored to the provided line items and buyer details. You can use this API to create checkout sessions for one‑time or subscription line items, pre‑fill the checkout form with known buyer information to reduce friction at payment, and configure recurring billing per line item—including frequency, billing cycles, and free trial period (limited to one line item per checkout session).

The App Installations API allows you to list, filter, and search installations of your own apps across the Wix sites where they're installed.

The Pool Items API lets you query which catalog items a member can access through their active benefit programs. Each pool item is a specific product, class, post, or other catalog item that's been provisioned for a member, contact, or visitor as part of a benefit in their pool. The Pool Definition Items API allows you to manage which catalog items are assigned to the benefits of a pool definition, a template that defines what subscribers get under a Pricing Plan. A new About App Review Decline Reasons article explains the most common reasons apps are declined during Wix App Market review. It summarizes the technical, UX, and marketing requirements your app is checked against, and groups typical decline reasons by category. Use it to identify and fix issues before you submit, or quickly address problems if your app is declined and you receive a review notice.

The existing `trackEvent()` method from the `@wix/site package` can now be used in Wix‑managed headless projects. You can call `trackEvent()` from your headless site to send standard and custom analytics events to the Wix analytics infrastructure, and have them forwarded to connected external platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4), Facebook Pixel, and Google Tag Manager.

Existing apps using custom authentication continue to be supported, but we recommend migrating to OAuth, which replaces custom authentication.

OAuth is simpler to implement and more reliable because it:
- Doesn't require server setup for redirects.
- Doesn't require a database for refresh token management.
- Avoids issues with cloned sites bypassing consent flows.
